Kim Victoria Cattrall, born August 21, 1956 in London, is a British and Canadian actress. She was best known for her role as Samantha Jones on the HBO show Sex and the City. For this role she won the Golden Globe Award for 2002 for Best Female Supporting actress. The role was reprised in the film Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010). She is also known for her role as the lead in the films of the 1980s Police Academy Big Trouble in Little China Mannequin and Porky's. Kim Cattrall will be remembered for her portrayal of Samantha Jones in the HBO sitcom Sex & the City. The character of Samantha Jones played by noted actress Cattrall was an important point in her professional life. The show made her a star not just among the local audience, but also internationally.
